NPR Race Card Project 

My Name Is Jamaal ...I'm White 
Jamal is a high school teacher Allan is. White and it has taking him on a long odyssey of racial encounter. He grew up in oregon his parents wanted a less traditional name for there children . He was named after a Los Angeles lakers which his dad was big fan of . Jamaal mean beauty in Arabic.he was out with his black friends  the waitress or bartender would give his card to one of his friends because the name on the card .The school he was hired only hired him because they wanted some diversity in there school. On the first day of school when he introduce himself they all though that Jamaal was going be black and not white . "There was a pregnancy pause " because they didn't expect his name to be Jamaal . 
24 Black men can no longer stand up for justice, so we did 

24 unarmed black men being killed by police officers and the can't stand up for justice. They  a very powerful video that went viral that pay tribute to all the black men who has been killed. They helped to rally social justice which was gathered in Philadelphia. At this rally they named all 24 unarmed men that have been killed by the police . I think this was something that really needed to happen we as black people coming together for something good . Showing respect to the families that went through that tragic event .

The article is about a speaker who spoke to sixty different districts which they have survived depression, attempted suicide.gang warfare, sexual and physical abuse, absentee parents, provertry ,racism, and learning disabilities in order to graduate . He wrote a autobiography and they kids was very inspired by the poor reservation indian boy and his attempts to have to have a better life .he spoke to them about his struggles and mental illness that he was dealing with .There was one story which stood out it was a teen mom and her administrators told her she should get her ged because she wasn't going to graduate high school being a teen mom . He got many letter from students who has read his book . He even got some from 10 year old kids who draw pictures to show how they felt . He got a story from a boy who wanted to be himself and his dad didn't want him to be himself like in the book.
